PDS Wraparound Services

Employment, benefits, MNsure, and immigration support for lasting stability.

At PDS, we help individuals and families overcome barriers such as unemployment, housing instability, disability services, and legal or immigration challenges. Our services are culturally responsive, client-centered, and designed to build long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Cost & funding

Most Wraparound supports are grant-funded and free of charge. Immigration services are offered on a sliding-fee scale.

How to start

No referral needed — contact PDS directly to meet with an Employment Counselor or Social Services Coordinator.

Employment Services

Our Employment Counselor provides one-on-one support:

  • Job Search & Preparation — resumes, cover letters, interview skills
  • Career Planning — explore careers matching your interests and strengths
  • Direct Job Placement — job fairs, employer connections, and follow-up
  • Support earning trade certificates like CDL, CNA, Certified Peer Specialist, and IT certifications

Additional Support from PDS Social Services Coordinator

  • Housing Stability — energy assistance, eviction prevention, and rent assistance
  • Food Access — support for food insecurity
  • Substance Use Treatment Screening & Referrals
  • Transportation — medical rides and bus pass support
  • Childcare Access — help finding care and completing childcare applications
  • Support for Vulnerable Adults — guardianship & custody forms
  • Communication Support — free Lifeline phones and discounted internet plans
  • Translation & Application Help for state and county forms

Public Benefits, Financial Support & MNsure

  • Public Benefits Assistance — MFIP, SSI, childcare assistance, and more
  • Representative Payee Services — money management for vulnerable adults
  • MNsure Navigation — Certified navigators help you apply for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, enroll and renew coverage, and report life changes

Immigration Support

  • Form N-648 assistance for medical disability exemptions from citizenship tests
  • USCIS form completion (green cards, asylum, work authorization)
  • Bilingual citizenship tutoring (English and U.S. civics)
  • Fee waiver support for those who qualify

All immigration services are offered on a sliding-fee scale to ensure affordability.
